Hi All. I am reviewing some new cards which have been specified for a plant expansion. System version is 12.3.1. I notice there are a number of 'Plus' series cards available. For example, the "M-series Profibus DP Series 2 Plus Interface Card" (order code VE4038). I have two questions regarding these cards:
1. Is there an overview somewhere of the Plus series cards which discusses things like compatibility with different DeltaV version and/or other requirements? I know for instance that at least some Plus cards from the traditional I/O range require version 13.3.1 and above.
2. Specifically for the "M-series Profibus DP Series 2 Plus Interface Card"; I thought there used to be a non-Plus version of this of the Profibus DP card. Has it been superseded by the Plus version or is the VE4038 a completely new card?

Here is some more info on Series 2 Plus cards in M-series:
The M-series Profibus DP Series 2 Plus Interface Card is supported in both simplex and redundant fashion. It did supersede the Series 2 card which can be replaced with the Series 2 Plus card in simplex applications.
VE4022 is the simplex version and it is supported in DeltaV v6.3 and newer.
VE4038 is the redundant version and is supported in DeltaV v10.2 and newer.

Then as you mention we added 5 new Series 2 Plus cards in DeltaV v13.3.1:
There were 4 High Density cards, 16 channel AI and AO, and 32 channel DI and DO, supported both simplex and redundant. See link here to the Product Data Sheet
