Step in Equipment Module is taking far too time to execute?

How to monitor or receive alarm notification if a step in Equipment Module is taking far too time to execute?

  • In my EM Class for all the commands, I have configured the CFM_MAX_TIME to be 5 mins. IF the command takes more than 5 mins to complete execution then it generates a failure which propagates to the EM level.

Issue that I am facing is that when the recipe is executing and of the EM command takes too long to execute it puts the recipe into hold and generates a failure alarm and message on the phase banner stating "Holding because of Failure- Fail Monitor XXX Failure.: Execution time expired".

Also, once the EM is in hold and owned by the Unit there is no way to acquire that EM manually and run a disabled command which will clear the failure message.

I have acknowledged the failure alarm on the EM and tried restarting the recipe from the BOI but it goes back into hold due to execution time expired. Is there a way to clear the CFM_MAX_TIME or the Failure alarm on the EM so that the recipe can be restarted?

Has anyone seen this issue or does someone have a solution for this one?
