I am working on using a priority 4 alarm to track bypassed interlocked and simulated devices. I don't want these alarms to display to an operator except on a specific alarm list.
I have updated the UserSettings Alarm initialization threshold values to set the lowest priority threshold to 5. I noticed that the priority 4 alarm will still display in a standard faceplate even after I have adjusted the alarm initialization values. I reviewed the faceplate in Operate configure and see that individual faceplates can be configured for alarm filtering based on priority, but it requires modifying the standard faceplates to create a custom version of the faceplate with the alarm filtering.
My question is would you expect the UserSettings alarm threshold initialization values to apply to the faceplate alarm displays and is there a global way to configure some alarm filter settings for faceplate alarm displays without creating custom faceplates and adjusting the alarm filter settings? We are running DeltaV 13.3.1
