I recently added a deviation alarm to a PID module. My understanding based on Books online is that this alarm is not initiated by SP changes, as you would expect. However, when the operator changes the SP on this module, the deviation alarm activates instantly. I have the conditional alarm options on and the output and bkcalc are not limited. Does anyone know why the alarm is not being suppressed?
