Logic Solver Domain

Hello experts,

I have encountered this issue below (see images below) after re-installing the Deltav system.

From the Diagnostics:

To give you some background, first, after I installed the DeltaV software, I imported the fhx backups to the DeltaV Explorer (DeltaV_System.fhx, Library.fhx, Control Network.fhx, SIS Network.fhx, etc.).

Then, I was unable to import the fhx backup from the exported fhx file for the SIS Network (next to Physical Network) as I encountered some errors (not been able to capture the error msg, my bad).

So, I downloaded each node, EWS-01, PAS-01, SIS-01, and FGS-01. Then, I tried to import again the SIS Network.fhx and still, I'm having the same error msg.

Then, what I did was, I created a new database using the Database Administration tool, and used the latest hbk backup file.

Then I made this new database active and when I opened the DeltaV Explorer, the SIS Network and all cards under that are present under the DOMAIN1.

But the problem is that all SLS cards are having a red-X mark which means, unable to communicate or not connected.

What could be my mistake?

Hope someone could help me. Thanks.

  • From your description and findings it seems you did not check to use the SIS in the System Preferences.
  • In reply to Maarten van der Waal:

It is enabled, sir. Else, the SISNetwork should not be there. Also, when I download the card with the X-mark, it is working but I'm unable to decommission the SLS card. I'm getting an error message on DvSwServer.

Is there any other way, to reset the logic solvers to factory default?

Also, in Diagnostics, all the SLS cards under the Control Networks show GOOD.

  • In reply to Nabil BOU:

I've already done that but it doesn't work because the card is still assigned.
I have rebuild my database and it's now ok.
What I did was, I created a new database then imported all fhx files again (DeltaV_System.fhx, Library.fhx, Setup.fhx, etc.), except SISNetwork.fhx. Then, under the DOMAIN1, I imported the LS IO cards which I also saved (fhx file, too). Then, voila, everything goes right.
