VCAT Recover/Purge - FHX Daily export size

Does anyone know if there is a way to purge all the deleted VCAT objects from a DeltaV database?  We have VCAT turned on mainly for informational purposes in a development environment, and so there are a lot of purged/deleted objects that have been superceded and we no longer care about, so we're fine doing a global purge of them...and from what I can see, it looks like all of those get included in the automated daily FHX export.  We were looking to clean them out to shrink that FHX down a bit and avoid backing up all this info we don't need.

  • There is a recover / purge option built into DeltaV Explorer. If you right click on an area or cell (Do not remember which) you should have the option to recover or purge deleted objects from VCAT. I assume that if you purge them then they no longer form part of the export.

Have not tried this. Let us know the results.
