I have a customer who cannot read more than 1000 tags from the OPC-DA server on the Application Server node even though it shows it is licensed for 11000 tags. Any additional tags respond with "exceeded license limit" message from the client. Also, using when two clients we still can only read 1000 total tags so it seems the 1000 tag limit is with the DeltaV OPC server and not the client(s). Any suggestions how to resolve this issue?
Are you sure you have 11,000 OPC Data Server license, this is different from the Application station license count. What does Diagnostics report when you expand the OPC subsystem, are there many clients or just one, it should also give you a number of Data Items instantiated?
