AGA Function Block with Liquid Propane Flow

Hello,

I am attempting to temperature compensate a liquid propane flow using the AGA function block and have a few questions to see if I am doing this correctly. My setup is as follows:

  • Turbine meter that I am reading via a PIN
  • I have a temperature at the meter
  • There is a chromatograph upstream that provides SG and component %'s

I have configured the block as follows:

  • Meter_Type: Turbine
  • Den_Base: 30.74 lbs/ft3 (converted from 4.11 lbs/gal)
  • Den_Flw: 31.09 lbs/ft3 (converted from chromatographs SG)
  • Configured Gas_Comp
    • Ethane: 6.26
    • Propane: 92.25
    • Iso-Butane: 1.46
    • N-Butane: 0.034
  • Wired in the temperature transmitter (deg F) to Temp_In
  • Wired in the flow to In, converted to ft3/hr
  • AGA8_OPT: Manual

My questions are:

  1. Should AGA8_OPT be set to Manual for liquid flow w/turbine meter?
  2. Is this configuration correct?
  3. Am I missing anything?

Thank you
