Profibus References Extraction.

Hi

 I am in the process of migrating Profibus Interfaces to Ethernet IP Interface. The problem is that I have more than 800 device signals that I need to extract the reference from it, document the information through mapping schedules and  convert and remap to the EIOC.  Do you guys know a way export all the reference to an specific card/channels/device signal so I can get a CSV of it? It’s going to be a waste of time going signal by signal to get the reference for the whole system.

P.S.: If I select the Card and I click IO Configuration, I will get all the references in a orderly fashion that I will be expecting. The problem doesn’t allow me to copy and paste or export, only print and the print-out report isn’t good.

  In your deltaV system when you try to export the I/O configuration for Profibus, you should already have a format file supplied by DeltaV that you can use to create your data (Text) file..If you don't need all the parameters you can remove them from your format file..this should be a user defined export from your DeltaV system. Hope this helps!!

  Hello Jose,  As Anas and Lost Engineer recommended, you would like to look into using DeltaV BulkEdit feature.  It will help export these data into a excel format.  Here is a link for your reference to implement this utility.

  In case bulk edit is not enough. You may want to create an MS Excel macro that extracts the data from fhx file. I usually do this when standard tools are not sufficient.

  Bulk Edit doesn't apply for this case, since the reference are not part the parameters
