Help with creating a batch report

We currently use the information in Batch reports in our Batch History viewer to fault find and nothing more.

we would like to create an alternate batch report containing only key relevant information, such as charge weights and operator entries etc. and be able to export or print this report at the click of a button or even automatically at the end of each batch, perhaps using a trigger at the end of a batch recipe.

has anyone any experience of this? The more detail the better.

there are notes available in books online, custom batch report/create a batch report, there is a nine step exercise, but it does not explain how to do the task.

  BOL is giving a workflow for a way to build your own batch report with your own logic and there are probably better alternatives that would be better to investigate and get you some support/help if you need:

  1. XLReporter from Sytech - http://www.sytech.com/product_xlreporter.asp
     This will be the cheapest option but the work of creating a report is a more involved and less flexible that the second option
     This software is what DeltaV Analyze uses: http://www.sytech.com/product_xlreporter_deltavanalyze.asp
  2. InfoBatch from Informetric - http://www.informetric.com/infobatch.html
     This will be more expensive option but the User Interface is much easier to build custom reports as well as being the most flexible (which is why it costs more).
