Is Charm cabinet compatible with Delta V serie-M controller?

I have an application where there is an existent DCS and I want to use a Charm cabinet (CIOC) in order to integrate new signals. But I understand that is not possible to connect it with Serie M controller.

In case that will be correct, is there another possibility tu use any Remote IO instead using another DCS??

  You are correct about CHARM not working with M-Series controller. What version of DeltaV are you on? If you are at DeltaV v11.3.1, you might consider getting a S-serie controller and added it to your current database. With this, you now can use the CIOC Charm solution without getting a new DCS. If you are on an older DeltaV version, upgrade it and now you will be at a version that will support CIOC Charm cabinet. The key is to get the S-serie Controller with DeltaV v11.3.1 to use with the CIOC Charm cabinet.

  There may be one other option that is to use the M-Series Zone 2 Remote IO. This has limitations on IO type e.g. no digital buses so please consider your application carefully to see if this solutions meets your needs. Hope that helps.
