Question: Why does enabling the simulation on a PID block forces the block to Manual due to BAD_PV status ?
Status: I simply want to simulate the functionality of a PID block by putting it into simulation mode but I could not because the block is forced to manual.
Intention: I would like to do the simulation.
DeltaV version: 12.0
Please note that I understand in DeltaV parameters are defined by both values & status. Do I need to somehow force the status to GOOD for this simulation?

Correct, you need to set the status for the simulation value to good. I think it is set to BAD by default.
