  • This error message does not give much information.
You could for the time being set the permission in iFix to get to the VBE code, so when this error pops up, you will see the code where this error occurs.
With this information you may be able to change the code or load a more recent Emerson code file (.fxg).

  • Hi,

It appears that when the operator interface components have been upgraded, there are some incorrect transitions done for the global files (.fxg extension files) in the PIC directory.
Verify following steps have been followed:
    1. User.fxg : Has been copied from base version (in this case 6.3 copied to DeltaV 9.3 machine compiled and saved and then copied to DeltaV 11.3.x machine again compiled and saved.) It is recommended to compile and save it on path version to avoid any VB version issues.
    2. SIGlobals.fxg: If PCSD/PBL or similar configuration is used then this file needs to be handled in same manner as User.fxg
    3. frsvariables.fxg: This file is version specific and can not just be copied from one DeltaV version to the next. You need to configure same variables, color tables as the base version in the frsvariables.fxg from the targer version (11.3.x).
    4. Resource File: In case PCSD/PBL files have been used, a text file named Resourcefile.txt (Path: D:\DeltaV\DVData\Graphics-ifix\PIC\Standard) needs to be copied (if exists) from the base version to the target version.
    5. TGD Files: In case custom tag group loaded files have been configured/used on the base version, copy these from base version to the target version.

Hopefully this resolves the issue observed.
