Communication Profibus with NEMO 96HD et 96HD+

Hello everyone;

Currently I have to establish the Profibus communication with several Nemo 96HD/HD+/HDLe; I integrate the GSD file and by default it gives me two sloot.
although at the Nemo was parametered address and the baudrate but always without result.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Best regards.

  • I just checked to see if this device has been approved by the Profibus foundation and don't see it on the list. The Profibus foundation provide checks on the GSD and make sure the vendor follow them and when import/integrate their GSD into a DCS or PLC, it should provide proper slot(s) configuration.
    I don't know this device well enough to give device specific advice. As for getting the device to communicate to a DeltaV system, you need to know exactly the input and output bytes configuration as well as the addressing. I have seen where vendor provide a GSD file with specific bytes which don't match the device hard coded bytes. This will cause communication issue. Profibus device is normally auto baud but I do see this device is rated to be 3 Mbaud which is configured on the device. DeltaV can only go to 1.5 Mbaud. Make sure they match. Are you sure you have configured or using the right GSD file? I see you have listed this device as being three types (HD/HD+/HDLe). There might be a bit that you need to set in the configuration of the device and download the profibus port. It would be in one of those slot configuration if this device utilized this. It is hard to say of what is exactly the problem without having the device and troubleshooting it. I would recommend that you contact the vendor for support if you think you got your device configuration set up correct. Troubleshoot area: correct GSD, address setup matches, Device input/output bytes setting, baud rate, and terminators. If you have repeater, it another thing to look at. If this is a Profibus PA device, you will need a PA gateway. etc.

    Let me know if you have specific question after my long troubleshooting explanation.

    Good Luck

    Good evening Tinh phan.

    Thank you very much for that explanation .
    regarding the GSD file normally contains two default slot
    - Module = " 32 Byte I / O Unit Konsist .. " 0x5F , 0x6F.
    - Module = " 32 Byte I / O Konsist Length. " 0xDF , 0xEF.
    And I saw on the documentation of the analyzer must be attacked an output bit for communication .
    and I had the confirmation of a colleague who could communicate with the analyzer using the module = " 32 Byte I / O Unit Konsist .. " 0x5F , 0x6F NEMO96HD the + and with the same GSD file I but used with Yokogawa .

    Thank you for your cooperation.

    Best regards.
