How to: Editing standard toolbar icons / bitmaps

Dear all,

Looking for a way to extract / edit the standard bitmaps for toolbar (Toolbar.grf) icons. Specifically I want to make a blue (rather than yellow) alarm bell for bringing up an "alerts" popup, rather that the canned yellow one that brings up the alarm summary.

  You mean something like this?

  

  You can select an object and the select from the Edit Menu, Copy as Bitmap.

  Then you can take to Paint or whatever edit program you wish to use to update the bitmap.

  Then when you want to use that you can copy the new icon and then paste into workplace graphic.

  Doh! That was easy. I guess I was right-clicking everywhere but never thought to look at the edit menu. Thanks!
