Controller License

Is there any license for the controller or it just for software.

I want to change the controller so should I buy a new license for it.License is also linked with controller or not?

    A simplex controller doesn't require a license. However, if your controllers are redundant, you would need to purchase a redundancy license. This license would be linked / assigned to a specific redundant controller pair.

    Hi,

    Well, if you just want to change the controller (physically) and not alter the configuration (simplex to redundant) you would require to order the same (or upgraded) version of controller. No new license is required.

    As Ray has said, you would require additional licensing to have simplex to redundant transition.
