I am currently developing an Operator Training System. I have a Delta V Operator Station connected to the DCS. All controllers are virtual/soft controllers and are connected to a Unisim dynamic model which provides a simulation of the plant.
I have a problem where after loading a previously saved snapshot, the controller parameters (modes, set points, etc) all look the same as they were when I saved the spapshot, but when I launch the simulator, the parameters suddenly change to different values. This occurs on the first time step of running the simulator. It is possibly an initialisation problem, but I do not understand that if the values are saved in the snapshot and appear when reloading, why should they become altered upon running the simulation.
Any help most appreciated.
