Dear Friends,
If anyone have used the DeltaV DCS and Allen Bradley FlexLogix IOs (no controller) over Ethernet? Request to post the details of the network and problem faced.
Regards,

Maybe this could be the product for you`?
You'll need a VIM on the DeltaV side, and RSNetworks to configure the FlexIO. If you'd like more details or assistance, I'm sure your local LBP would be more then happy to help!

Manish,
MYNAH Technologies offers a solution for this configuration. Nikfly and Tyler Anderson are correct in that a VIM (Virtual IO Module) will need to be used. The VIM has four different drivers but in this case you will need the Generic Ethernet IO VIM driver to be able to communicate to the Flex IO. VIMNet Explorer is used to configure the connections between the AENT and the VIM.
Since you are looking for an Ethernet interface, you will need a 1794-AENT communication module attached to the Flex IO. The most difficult part about this setup is configuring the network connections since all the IO modules are a little different. With this in mind, MYNAH Technologies has streamlined the process by offering connection templates for the Flex IO modules and VIMNet Explorer will show you how to configure all the datasets in DeltaV.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at http://mynah.com. If you call support, I'll probably be the one to help you out.
This article community.emerson.com/.../412.aspx describes how to configure the Generic Ethernet IP VIM to communicate to the "1734-AENT" to "Point IO" rather than the "1794-AENT" to "Flex IO". The Generic Ethernet IP VIM supports communication to both and the configuration steps are virtually the same.
