I am trying to run the system back up utility on disc2 , it has backed up the database then says it will stop delta v services and applications. Question, will this stop the batch application and hence shutdown all the running batches? The batch application is beeing run on a separate batch server in a domain environment. I have done this before on a non-batch system but its a while ago.
If it does shutdown the batches it will have to wait for a plant shutdown. I am fitting a new proplus, changing the domain name and workstations during the upgrade so am am trying to have the domain set up and ready to install in advance of the shutdwon in a couple of weeks.

If you are running the backup utility on the ProPlus (as you likely are) and your Batch Executive is on a separate server, you should not run into any issues with your batches by stopping the ProPlus DeltaV Services.
