  • There are no local users on a domain controller. This is fundamental to windows domain controllers. The more important question is "what do you need to achieve?"

Maybe it's a matter of semantics.  The  Domain account is the local user on a Domain controller.  .

You should use the Active Directory Users and computers tool to edit User properties and group membership.  Since the Domain user is the local user on the Domain controller, this is where you should be.  Be careful...

There is also a User Accoutns item in Control Panel.  This lets you change the associated picture, grant access to the computer and change the account type.  depends on what you want to do.

You can have local user in the domain as well. If you do NOT log into the domain then you will only access the local computer. If you add or change user in DV, it´s recommended (easier) to use the DV USER MANAGER, then the user rights groups et. will be correct
