I am currently working with Delta V Operate Configure to create displays for the DCS. I need to replace the variable used as a data source in several objects of a display (.grf file). For example, any property value referring to the module "100PIC001" needs to be replaced by the property value referring to the module "100PIC002". While this can be achieved using the "Find and Replace" functionality in Edit Menu, it becomes unfeasible for multiple pictures (>100) and several module replacement.
I have been looking for a way to automate this process, as I already have a list with the Original Name of the Module and the New Name to be replaced with. I came across the Delta V Operate Rename Tool. The first step is to upload the RenameList.xml, which seems to contain the necessary information for the replacements. However, I do not have access to the Delta V PK Controller Merge Utility (with the available controllers in the project), which is responsible for generating this RenameList.xml. Therefore, I am unsure of the structure of the .xml file.
I would appreciate any insights or comments from anyone who has experience with this tool or any alternative methods within Delta V that allow for such automated replacements.
