DeltaV Prompt need to work in BOI only also

Hi,

I need to update Deltav phase OAR prompts displays which is acknowledge in "BOI only" Prompt option.

I was using DelatV Prompt list PDE and linked to prompts open button, this item was working in both external only and BOI only prompt option.

Could you please suggest how I can implement same conditions use in DeltaV OAR displays.

  BOI Prompts interface can't be modified, what specifically are you wanting changed and what "conditions use" are you talking about.

  thanks for your quick response,

  Our Requirement is we want to acknowledge the prompts OAR displays from DeltaV LIVE when OAR composite parameter “OAR_OPTION” is selected to "BOI Only" (means phase is loaded from Batch operator interface).

  kindly refer to below attachment (yellow highlighted) PCSD script is modified as per our above requirements.

  

  As per this modification we are unable to open prompt displays on clicking PROMPT button from Unit info GEM.

  I have also tried to answered prompt by linking PDE "Prompts" GEM to Answer prompt button (available in LIVE as a PDE). In this scenario, the prompt is acknowledged from the LIVE.

  Please refer to below screenshot of LIVE run mode,

  

   

   Question is , Is there any limitation for BOI only option that it cannot acknowledged from LIVE or do we need to update script to for this requirement.

  One correction in above reply, Prompts OAR display is open from answer prompt button( highlighted in red box) but unable to acknowledge prompts from LIVE OAR display.

  Tune the Prompt Option to be External Only online and see If it does what you want. Then if it does you can make the configuration change to make it permanent.

  Thanks for your reply. It's working now.

  Addition one thing, on batch operator interface and there prompt display P_MSG2 parameter message not showing. ( P_MSG2 already configured in phase and it is display on GEM also).

  Could you assist me which parameter or property should be used for this.

  In you action in your phase where you are setting the Prompt, the Actual Prompt Text needs to be what the Prompt Text you want to see, i.e. '^/P_MSG2.CV' := "Acknowledge All Manual Valves are Open".
  
  It looks like you are putting the Prompt Type in P_MSG2 currently or you are reading the wrong parameter form an EM and putting it into P_MSG2 of the phase.

  Looks like you are using some modified version of PCSD so I'm not sure how much more support can be provided as that should all be working. Suggest you contact the local Emerson project team that installed for further support.
