Is there a document that explain the licensing rule use in DeltaV v14 when using Ethernet/IP to read/write from PK controllers?
How does the "* indicates a free I/O reference because this has already been counted" in I/O license demand determine this it is free I/O?
If we have 10 word inputs on one physical device and one logical device does it only count for 1 AI DST license?
Up to how many word inputs on a same physical device and same logical device does it count for additional AI DST license?
Does the DST licensing rule identical for DI, DO and AO through the same logical device?
What I found in “Planning and Designing Your DeltaV Digital Automation Systems and DeltaV SIS Process Safety Systems” page 26 for Ethernet I/O card license demand guidelines:
A DST license is counted at the logical device level (LDT). One hundred (100) signals can be
configured within the logical device. A maximum of one DST is counted per logical device
and the DST license type is based on the most expensive type of signal configured for the
logical device. The license costs are (from highest to lowest): AO, AI, DO, and DI. For
example, if a logical device has both AO and DO signals configured, one AO DST is counted
for the logical device. The DST license demand from the logical devices configured for an
EIOC are counted against the system-wide AO DST, AI DST, DO DST, and DI DST license
capacities assigned to the system.
