Use of the variable ps_accept_d_nma

Hi gents,

This VB variable is relevant to the check box in the DC faceplate in order to "simulate" and/or align the PV to the SP of a pump or a valve.

Someone could explain me how it exactly work?

Thank you have a nice day

  • The FP ultimately writes to ACCEPT_D parameter on the DC block and the below is from Books Online parameters section of the Device Control function block

If the limit switches for a valve aren't working then operator can hit the ACCEPT_D on every SP change to "accept" that PV_D has successful been reached as the ACCEPT_D will be cleared on a new SP_D.

On the EDC block (which was released in v13) this functionality was replaced by a single boolean IGNORE_PV that can be set that will essentially remove monitoring of the inputs and PV_D will follow the SP_D and doesn't need to be set for every SP_D change. Set IGNORE_PV back to false once the limit switch functionality is working again.
