    My summary:

Specify - start with workshop to uncover pain point, then pick a solutions and technology

Success - capture baseline performance; failure rates, energy consumption, incidents, off-spec product etc.

Start small - don't attempt all use cases and entire plant at once; start with one or two use cases per department: maintenance, reliability, energy efficiency, safety, and quality etc. Start in one plant unit, then scale out. Then iterate with other use cases. And better than proof of concept: I&C engineers can deploy ready-made solutions already proven at other sites. Often no need to reinvent the wheel.

Senior support - get executive management to speak about digital transformation in employee updates

Shared responsibility - get everyone involved from the beginning, not just operational departments and I&C, but also IT

Support - use easy-to-use technologies; engineers and technicians cannot be come data scientists and programmers, to minimize skills gaps and get HR manage L&D for re-skilling
