You can disable the network searching function of the transmitter thus it won't attempt to join to network. Disabling network searching function means also conserving transmitter battery so it will last longer.
How to do it ?
Under Service Tools -> Communications -> Join Details
Select “Don’t Attempt to Join” so that device would not look for networks
This would stop the device from looking for a network & hence save some battery usage
