Rosemount 2051 Profibus parameterization

in our company we are using Rosemount  2051 pressure transmitter with profibus PA, we receive the sensor already configured, we adapt the sensor to our needs, so we change some parameters ( units, scale.....), with pactware software, but after disconnecting and reconnecting the sensor, two parameters cannot be saved, in this case the out put value is wrong. we tried manufacturer reset, restart with default......no way to keep these two values.

the two parameters are:

1. upper value of process value scale (analog input block) : we changed to 100.00 after disconnecting/reconnecting the sensor we get always the value : 248.840

2. unit (out scale) of the output signal (analog input block) : settled to mbar after disconnecting/reconnecting the sensor we get inH2O(68deg f)

could you please advise me,

let me know

regards

Halim

  • Here is one thing you could try.  Configure the 2051 to what you want in the “Parameterization" tab (shown below). The device will need to be put into “OOS”. Then do a “Store to device”. If you have any further questions, please call  1-800-999-9307 or  +1-952-906-8888 and ask for one of the SmartField Specialists to discuss further.

    already done without success, below the steps that i did:

    1. online parameterization: physical block "OOS", transducer block "OOS", analog input block "OOS"

    2. parameterization : sensor configuration

    3. close "online parameterization" to allowed storage to the device

    4. store to device

    with last step i got message error that i need to put the device "out of service mode" and that what i did it before the config.

    any advise
