High Vacuum (Micron) Measurement

I have an application where I need to measure vacuum ranges less than 25 micron (mTorr) absolute.  Is there a vacuum transmitter that can measure and read in the range of 0 to 50 micron (mTorr) vacuum absolute (0 to 0.050 Torr)?

I would appreciate any guidance.

  • Hi Robert -

Unfortunatley, we don't have a pressure transmitter that can accurately measure at such a low vacuum. The lowest Range Emerson has available is a 0 tp 5 psia (258 torr-a) on the Rosemount 3051S. You can find out more about the performance of that range on page 107 of the Product Data Sheet that lives here.

Feel free to contact me with any additional questions.

    Thanks!
    Emily

Hi Rob, I think what you want is something like an MKS Baratron gauge:

The real question is how low a pressure do you really need to measure? That may push you to a different, or second, vacuum gage technology.
