VIM communications with devices and deltav

Dear All,

we have 3 nodes of VIMs connected to 3rd party systems. one of the VIM connected to krohne meter server through a firewall. the krohne server hard disks malfunction and replaced and we forget the server IPs  used to communicate with the VIM through the firewall below.

we tried one suspected  IP address 192.168.98.64:4001   but no luck.. is there any way  to find  the lost IP of the device ? is the connected  VIM IP network class is the same device network class? or the firwall used will change it?

we try to ping the device from VIM explorer but also no luck. when we enable communication of the VIM, it shows error message of not binding with IPs, below.  please advise.

  • Haitham,
Does your Firewall have the list of IP addresses that are allowed to access the network? Have you tried connecting your PC to the device network and running the "ARP -A" command to see what the device addresses are?
If you can't figure out your IP address ranges you may just have to rebuild your network.
  • Maybe using Wireshark software can capture the IP address, but not sure
  • IPAssign_v1.1.2.exe software can find ip address.
  • Run vimnet explorer and locate the device that is lost, it should have the ipaddress that was used to connect it originally.
