How to make a display available from the 'display directory' icon

We have created a new main display for our workstations, yet it is not available from the 'display directory'.

it is accessible from the 'open main display' file icon, then selecting the picture to replace the current display.

As this is a main display we need to access it from the display directory icon on the toolbar running along the top of the screen.

I suspect the new display was not created in the proper manner, rather it was copied and pasted from an existing display.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

  • When you click the display directory icon it opens the display directory picture that has a list of displays. You need to add your new main display to the display directory picture by editing it in DeltaV Configure. The display directory picture (or pictures as there can be one for each of four? monitors) is in the Standard folder. It can be called anything, but is likely to be something like DirD...

Thanks Cedric, I had realised this eventually, one thing that's worthwhile pointing out is you shouldn't open the directory display using right click 'quick edit', as this opens a page that you cannot recover from. It's best to open DeltaV Operate (Configure) and find it, it is in Pictures/Standard/ DirD_Ref.grf
