Commisioning Fieldbus devices

Hi there,

In our test plant at the Scalda Technical school, I am programming a new DeltaV system ver 13. The old system is ver 7 (really old)

We are using a MX controller now, and after installing the newcontrolle,r the autosense installed also the Fieldbus devices, but of course not commisioned.

In the Decommisioned tab I can see all devices with Device ID. I entered the same channel and versions to all fieldbus devices.

If I start Commissioning there are no FB devices in the list even if I refresh. Power is on. The FB license is also enabled as well as the enabeler 

of the IO. Is there someone wo had the same issues? thanks .

ps downloading everything did not work.

    I am assuming you are having this issue in v13. Have you flash both the MX controller and FF card in v7 to v13?

    Hi Tinh Phan, thank you for responding, the MX controller is new , we removed the old controller. V13 recognized the MX controller and the FF.
    As I mentioned , the Transmitters are under decommisionedbut cannot be commisioned by some reason

    So, you can see the devices in the decommissioning list but only see the with device ID? If you can see them in the decommission list with device ID, try right click on the device and put them in Spare or Standby then drag and drop the device(s) under the port or commission them at the port level.

    Can you elaborate? From version 7?
    As I recall commissioned devices (placeholders) need an address in the 20-36 range or thereabouts (less than 20 is reserved for the H1 link master). Doesn't version 13 include AMS (versus "AMS Inside" like legacy DeltaV) - is that installed and active? Maybe the DD's are missing from AMS?
    As Mr. Phan points out, you may benefit from flashing your H1 cards to the current firmware.

    Thank you for your support, I put the decommissioned IO as spare and standby, after this I could drag the IO to the right place. I have communication and all IO is working,
