Soft AO Block

I want to use the AO block OUT parameter to a CALC block for calculation and then onward propagation to a Profibus DP. Problem is without a proper IO channel assignment AO block shows Error (that then shows up in the Detail face plate). I have used MASKING but still get error in one way or the other in the module. Module is part of library with interlocks and other things so don't want to remove AO block altogether. I was hoping a a kind of PSEUDO/ SOFT/ DUMMY AO block that ignores the Output Channel failure.

Any thoughts?

  If AO block is not controlling final control element through conventional channel, check PID block with BYPASS option set to ON can solve issue.

  AO block is part of a larger control module and also it has a face plate, so to keep the feel and look I want keep using the AO block with its face plate.

  AO block OUT parameter is written from face plate and then fed to CALC blocks for parsing into ASCII bytes for onward transmission to Profibus DP.

  If I am remembering correctly, PCSD libarary have soft AO block with corresponding faceplate. Would you have access to PCSD library?
