DeltaV Serial Cards (M Serie) Communicating with each other

Hello Community,

I have a query, two DeltaV systems, each with a separate proplus and controllers. Could they exchange modbus serial data if one card was as a master in one system and the other card was as a slave in the other system?

    Yes.

    In fact, a while back, I did port 1 master and port 2 slave - just for fun.

    I'm trying to do the same right now. Can you please let me know how you did the wiring? And on the slave site, how did you set up the DEV? Is the address the master address?

    Hello.

    Yes, they can. We are still using MODBUS RS-485 connections to transfer signals through different DeltaV Systems as a site standard - because of security thoughts. At the moment we are running 5 different DeltaV <=> DeltaV connections. For us, its the simplest and cheapest way to choose.
