TP01 - Finding all places used or Cross Ref

I have a TP that is used in a Forced SP. It is written to by another equipment module but I'm not sure what else might write to it. Is there a way to cross reference all places that writes to TP01? Thanks

  • Did you try control module references? You can locate the module in explorer and with right click the module references can be checked. This works as long as there is no dynamic referencing is used.

Yes.  I tried that. It shows the equipment module referencing the module using the TP as a device but doesn't list the TP anywhere.

Using the Control Module References only works for direct links which doesn't include Unit Aliasing, Dynamic Referencing or Module Block parameter references.

Unit Aliasing and Dynamic Referencing would have to be manually researched to find any possible references.

Yeah the Module Block reference shows that a module is being used when using Control Module Reference but you will need to manually check the locations identified to see if there is any references to MODULEBLOCK/TP01.

While we are kind of on the subject, is there a way to reference modules & parameters used in graphics (ifix)?

    Matt,

You mention manually researched to find possible reference. Can you please give more detail? Are you talking about searching through the fhx? Unfortunately the parameter, which I need to figure out what is writing to, is fairly well used in my fhx and there are over 7000 hits when I search the fhx. Is there any other way to find it?

    Yes.
I have developped a Client-Server programs that reference all module and attributes used in GRF files.
I can send you trial version of "Template Cross Reference" to evaluate it.
These programs doesn't need install and must be placed on a Pro+ Station.
Server program need a full night working to analyse all GRF files.

Nota 1 : The programs use French language.
I could create an English version if other people required it.

Nota 2 : The programs are not freeware

    Contact me if interested in.

About searching in FHX files :

I have developped a freeware program to convert a FHX file to a XML --> Download page

You just have to register to access free downloads.

XML can be use with VBA to search and link data.
