PP no configuration

Hi,

The event Chronicles was crashed and after restart the service (deltav_chronicle) didnt loaded correctly. In the event administrator -> primary  didnt show anything, but the content is in the folder

To try to solve that the PP was restarted, it was logon with the administrator credentials, but  the deltav logon didnt show the main domain, just the local domain, and when I opened the DV explorer, the PP had the 'no configuration' status (yellow triangle) and all the devices with the red X.

-what could cause that loss of configuration?

-when I'll perform the complete download in the PP, could affect the controllers, lost sp or communication?

-we have more stations like, OPC, BEX, BHIST,CHIST, what could happen when the pp complete download? do I need to restart these stations?

-the issue of dont get the main domain, could me related to the no configuration in the pplus?

  Dear sir
  
  Is their any PP station other then this similar station can be used for the plant operation.
  When you have downloaded PP operator station
  Controller will not affect ; minor changes are their setpoint so u can put these setpoints .
  
  Another way you can use professional plus (EWS)
  For the temporiary use if any urgent work is their.
  
  You can check on the EWS station weather all the things are working properly.
  
  Normaly EWS station can not be used for the operational purposes.
  
  Check for the event chronicle working properly for the other stations. If it is working then u can use. U can also add event to this station . If u know how to add the events to this station . Then u can add and see the events are working or not.
  
  I think in your case PP is EWS station.
  
  If PP station is EWS station then
  If the communication is not their then check for the ethernet cables .

  Hello,
  
  It sounds like a services or .DLL file is corrupt or needs to be re registered. This would cause the first failure seen in the event chronicle and why it didn't restart manually.
  
  A from here details are missing that could cause you to have the issues you seen next. Simply if you can't login to the domain, as your not seeing, If the ProPlus is the Domain Controller, (Pre V14.3) then this would tell me you are expereinceing a domain services failure or error, you can check this by looking at the systems logs. If you have a independent domain controller it means that your not communicating from the Proplus to the independent domain controller.
  
  "What could cause the loss of configuration" - Not being able to run all services, if you are able to ping outward on the network (a Controller for example) by IP and a Computer by Name. You would be able to both check your network and if DNS service is working appropriately.

You should be able to do this download without effecting any controllers or other workstations. Things to check would be to determine that you don't have any modules assigned to run on the proplus. these wouldn't be functional at this point but its good to check.

  "-the issue of dont get the main domain, could me related to the no configuration in the pplus?" Yes, without "setup data" on the workstation to be completed you will not be able to login to the domain and use only built in factory accounts or "Local" accounts.
  
  I would highly suggest "Re-Run" DeltaV Workstation Configuration Utility" if you havn't done this before i would do so with the GSC on the phone to walk you through it. This utility sets the workstation up properly per the configuration that it requires as the ProPlus.It also reregisters services that might be having a problem.

  After the 'complete download' the deltav login shows the main domain, but the chronicle event administrator still with the problem of dont load the anything in the primary. I openned the datasets with the SQL administrator and all the events and alarms were there. Looking in the windows event viewer I saw a repetitive warning trying to check a dataset (from July 25-07-2019), when I opened the dataset with the sql, doesnt had tables. I deleted both files, and restarted the pp +, the event loaded normally showing all files inside the chronicles folder.
  
  in resume, the event / alarms were working but the event chronicles administrator cant loaded properly because of a corrupted file. It is possible that when the MSSQL$DELTAV-CHRONICLE crashed, was corrupted the dataset.
