Redundancy in server (PPLUS)

Hello Dear Friends

Is there any way to have redundancy in server (PPLUS) like other device, it means by happening any failure in active server (power failure , database crashing ,,,) the standby server can come to service automatically???? what are requirement?? (special server , program , license ,...)

Thanks

  • the Proplus does not have a redundant architecture.

the servers are supported with RAID disk.

Virtualization of Proplus provides option for replication to reduce time to restore server. in VRTX server can be setup for automatic failover.

the Proplus is not required to be online for controllers and Operator stations to function. redundant Proplus would not improve system availability.

I agree with your answer about protecting PLUS by Raid disk. but other DCS provider like Honeywell and Yokogawa except Raid disk have Redundancy License and option and using at least 2 redundant server in big plant , and it seems it makes them more reliable , how do you justify this issue especially in big plant?
I think using Zone server architecture and OPC Miror are the best soloution in big plant in order to have a reliable system , am i right?
