Graphix related question

I have a couple ph control loops. It was requested of me to change the incremental on the faceplate to allow them to increase/decrease in .01 increments. I have done that, by creating specific faceplate for these two items. in my pro station it works fine. but for some reason, at the ops station, everytime they click on the loop, it says the faceplate cannot be found. I have gone to the pro plus station under deltav data/graphix/pic/faceplate/ and the exact faceplate is there. so I don't understand why they can't see at the ops station.

  • You need to update popup pictures. The icon is in the DeltaV Utilities toolbar.

I actually tried this yesterday afternoon. but it was not a success. it was not until I physically rebooted the pc's before the changes were loaded into the ops station. Am I missing something?

My guess is that you would have to download the 'changed setup data' to the ops and other stations. This spreads out the graphics over the downloaded stations through the Yellow pages and inform the stations about the module properties. I am surprised that rebooting apparently does this job.

yes you are correct, they were downloaded from the pro+ to the ops station on the main server. they wouldn't function until I rebooted the ops stations.

DeltaV Operate requires a restart in order to load in any new faceplates. Not a windows restart but just DeltaV Operate

Thanks Stuart, I found out the hard way. I struggled for about a week back and forth. new lesson learned for certain.
