Commissioning 1410 wireless gateway on DeltaV

Hi Folks

Have a question regarding the Commissioning of Emerson 1410D wireless gateway on DeltaV?

Do we need to have a DD file for 1410D wireless gateway commissioning on DeltaV?

We have purchased the 1410 wireless gateway with DeltaV Ready option.

Currently we are using 1420 wireless gateway for which the system already has a DD file in the Device library. 

The DeltaV Version is 13.3.1 and AMS is 13.5

Any inputs on commissioning the 1410 will be highly appreciated.

    The DDs for the Smart Wireless gateways in DeltaV are not necessary for DeltaV commissioning and use of the 1420 or 1410D gateways. The DDs are for AMS Device Manager to be able to show the “Dashboard” of the gateway in use, but this may not be necessary as you can just log into the Gateway Web Interface of the 1420/1410D gateway from DeltaV and have all gateway functionality access there.

    The 1410D gateway will appear in DeltaV as a 1420 gateway in the decommission node list, and in the placeholder in Explorer and Diagnostics. The functionality, device support, diagnostic tools all work the same on both 1420 and 1410 Smart Wireless gateways so there were no need to develop a special DD for the 1410.

    It was a DeltaV Smart switch port locking issue, We had to unlock the port to establish communication with the gateway. Thanks everyone for the help.
