Disabling MODBAD faults

Hi all,

We have a particular VFD on Ethernet/IP that keeps faulting out on network timeouts = MODBAD status in DeltaV.  While we are troubleshooting the network/hardware issues, I would like to know if there is any way to ignore the network fault so that our sequences keep rolling through the 1-2 second faults.

  It's been a couple years that we had a similar issue with some AB 755 drives. I don't remember exactly, since it's been awhile. We were using a VIM1 card in our system. There is a setting in the Ethernet I/P communications that increases the timeout delay for the loss of communications. Increasing the time delay took care of our issues. Sorry I can't be more specific.

  Not sure how to ignore the network fault. But I have experienced similar communication issues with devices on a VIM1 card. In the port settings you can adjust the number of retries as well as the timeout time. If you increase one or both of these it will take longer to declare a fault on that port, and may help you ride through the issue.

  We need to analyze if the faults is because of RPI setting on a ODVA driver before doing something on the retrials, could you provide more info about your RPI setting on your Serial Ethernet Data Definition on VIMExplorer?
