DeltaV 11.3 Disk 1 Installation ERROR 1628

My DeltaV installation wasn't successful  as Disk 1 got interrupted while installing and gave an error "1628: Failed to complete installation" (Image attached). I tried installing it again and same error came. Installed programs list didn't have Microsoft SQL server application and DeltaV application. I have installed DV many times but never came across this error.

Does any one know what this error means and how can I rectify it ?

  For some reason your first attempt of installing DeltaV might have some errors and it left the system with DeltaV install remnants. You may want to check first if you have a corrupted DVD.
  
  In case your DVD is working there are 2 ways to get pass this issue.
  1. Clean the registry and files. This would need deletion of all registry keys, folders, and files that DeltaV added on the system during the failed install. I do not recommend this path for a system to be used in production. It may cause some issues later when the cleanup is not properly made.
  
  2. Start from a fresh OS. This is the best way since it clears all DeltaV remnants that may cause issues later when the system is already running.
