We have two DV systems running on different versions (9.3 and 10.3) and one Symmetricom S250. The idea is to set-up the time synchronization for both the DeltaV systems using the same Symmetricomm S250.
The 10.3 version (workgroup environment) has a Redundant Application Station, the third port of which is connected to a switch where the LAN2 of Symmetricom S250 is connected.
For the 9.3 version (domain environment), the third port of a Application Station (simplex) is connected to that same above-mentiioned switch. This switch is used exclusively for this purpose only.
The end-user doesn't want the Proplus to connect to the Symmetricom, and want to do the set-up using the Application Stations.
1. For the 10.3 version, when I tried to setup the Remote Network-->Time server, I am getting a message that it is not possible to do on a Redundant Application station. Is it not possible at all?
2. For the 9.3 version, the box where you would type the IP address of Master Time Server/Backup Time Server is grayed out. (I guess it could be because of the domain environment).
Need your inputs to address this.
