Duplex vim to simplex field device

Hello, i have a problem for the configuration of deltav, for a simplex field devive.

Could someone explain how the configuration should look like?

I have checked the fact that card is redundant, in the vim explorer i have stetted up that filed device is  simplex, but still i have bad status of the fileld device in deltav

Is  there any other setting that i must do ?

  If your simplex device does not support function 8 you need to configure custom ping. simply add 1 to plc datatype on one of your datasets in DV. if datatype is 0 enter 10.

  Thank you for response.Now I do not have bad on the diagnostics on my software cards.
  But when I make the switch over from primary VIM to the secondary VIM the status of the card is changing in bad, and the registers are becoming BAD with no values.
  Is this normal, is this as it supposed to work?
  I only have one cable from VIM to PLC, is it because of this?
