Is there a possibility of removing the default purple color when a batch unloads?

I believe you can modify the User Preference on each machine to change this behaviour but this is a global setting for all comm errors and not just for when a phase unloads.
In Workspace (Edit Mode) - Select Workspace menu item and select User Preferences, Then select the second tab (Animations Data Error Defaults) and change the Error Table Entry for Comm.
