I am upgrading from v9.3.1 to v12 and would like to continue code development on MiMiC system while upgrade occurs. This means I'll want to import the developed code post-upgrade. I turned to tech support for advice, and they told me to read the Release Notes (not very helpful). Do you have any advice or experience to share when performing partial imports from a v9 system onto a v12 system (or similar)? Thanks!
You can do this repeatedly as long as you migrate the export file first. I have 9 DeltaV systems of several different revisions and I borrow code from different systems occasionally. You can even go from a higher rev to a lower rev, but this is a tricky and manual process.
