Hi there!
We are using dynamos which were derived from frsModules_Theme dynamo set. But everytime we make a slight change on a dynamo, we are manually updating all our graphic pages as using the Dynamo Update Utility drops some elements in the dynamo such as friendly name and tooltips among others. How can we use the Dynamo Update Utility and still keep the friendly name and tooltips?

I was waiting for this question from 2 years. If you have Guardian support please find this KBA NK-1100-0445, last update 04 Apr 2011.
Conclusion:
Avoidance:
Do not use the Dynamo Update utility to update Theme Dynamos from the frsModules_Theme Dynamo Set on graphics. Make the changes manually.
Recovery Action:
Manually re-enter the user-configured values on the Dynamo Properties window.
I think finally Emerson should solve this issue. In my opinion only Jim Cahill can help us
I try with DeltaV 11.3.1 and still do not work in the correct way

Thanks Dawid and Jim. We are hoping that Product Engineering will consider developing a hotfix for this issue. It will be very helpful since our plant is using and currently improving 250 graphic pages and it entails hundreds of man hours just tweaking a single dynamo when a decent upgrade utility could do it in minutes. Thanks again for your response.

I just wanted to pass along that the DeltaV technology team has seen this thread and is looking at ways to address it. No details on when, but hopefully we can provide an update sometime down the line.
