Calculation Block

Hello, I am completely new with the Delta V system and in need of assistance with some faceplate calculation or direction for correction. I got an FI + FIC =FIC for flow control of a pump but it’s incorrect GPM, here is an attached pic of it.

  • I would say it's okey if you want to do that addition, but what exaclty are you driving into the input of the FIC185? Because as far as it can be seen the scale of the three elements are quite different...
  • In reply to Inocencio Perez:

FIC-185 control the speed control for a pump from the Flow indicator in GPM, as now FIC-185 is incorrectly at 2334gpm when suppose to be equal from the FI-502D and FIC-502C at correctly 142 total combine.
Which FIC-185 is speed control is being controlled manually at the moment.

I get that, but FI-502D has an FIT-502D input and FIC-502C I guess would have a FIT-502C input, are you adding those to the input of FIC-185, the output of the FIC-502C...what?
And what I mean is that ranges are quite different between the three elements and if you do a mistake with the scaling when passing the signals, you can get that kind of issue, so I don't know if you already considered it.

I have a pic of the Calculation Expression, but unable to load it for a reply.

A screenshot of the module in Control Studio online would be helpful as well. Make sure the values coming into the calc block are correct. Is something else going on in the calc block? Why not just use an ADD block? Make sure your scales on the PID are right.
