Domain Controllers and Purple Knight Security Assessment Tool

Is Purple Knight Security Assessment Tool in DeltaV a safe security tool to install?  I have both cases, below

1.  Domain Controllers as part of the DeltaV hardware (on the Proplus and App station) since the DeltaV DCS is a small system.

2.  Domain Controllers on their own servers, as external domain controllers.

So has Emerson/ DeltaV researched or vetted Purple Knight Securit Tool?  I need to find information on the subject, pros and cons, to be more educated before discussing with Corporate Security.  The more information you can share, the more educated I will be before me meeting.

Anyone else having these discussions with their Corporate Security group (IT Security Group)?

  This assessment tool is not tested by Emerson with DeltaV systems, hence it is not supported. Cyber assessment tools require proper handling to avoid operation disruption, especially if they are intrusive (agent-based) and active.
