Recently I received this question from a customer I wanted to share with the EE365 community:
I am using DeltaV Connect for Bailey as a transitional product for a phased migration from Bailey INFI 90 to DeltaV. ABB is suggesting that I replace my aging SCSI CIUs with the new IET800 Ethernet CIUs, but is DeltaV Connect for Bailey compatible with the EIT800 CIU?
My answer: Yes, DeltaV 13.3.1 together with DeltaV Connect for Bailey v1.5 is compatible with the EIT800 CIU. We are not able to communicate through the Ethernet port in the front of the card. However, the IET800 CIU can also be set up to communicate serially which enables DeltaV Connect for Bailey to communicate with it in the same way as we do with the older, serial CIUs.
