3051 FF out_scale units AI block

Were using an AB800xa system with foundation Fieldbus, we have some Rosemount 3051 pressure transmitters, Absolute pressure, now in the AI block have only Bar as engineering unit for both the XD_OUT_SCALE UNITS AND OUT_SCALE UNITS, is there  a way to create custom units, would like to be sending to DCS, Bara instead of Bar, when we try to type it in, it  will only accept  1 letter and  not the complete unit we are trying to enter,

    For Foundation Fieldbus, the XD_SCALE units will have to be something that the instrument recognizes. You have a predefined list for each instrument which you can choose from, they are documented in BOL (search for Rosemount 3051 and you will find a list). For OUT_SCALE units you are free to choose from all the units available in DeltaV. We also had the same with some pressure transmitters, XD_SCALE had to be set to bar, and OUT_SCALE was set to barg.

    I understand that the XD is tied in with the sensor that was not the question, but your answer dose contain information that I need but looking for more detail, on setting for your example of barg how did you enter that in the out scale units since on the 3051 bar is the only choice in the list and not barg or bara, did you make this change in the DCS or in the Function Block

    In addition to what Istvan replied here, you can add new engineering units in DeltaV Explorer from Setup > Engineering Units. For example, "bara". You can add this, download setup data of proplus and other nodes and you can select this from the OUT_SCALE.
