Fisher V300 ( Vee Ball) vs V500 (eccentric plug) . Which is good option for hydrocarbon liquid flashing service. ?

Working on valve selection for Stabilization system and need to confirm if Fisher V300 can be a good option in place of V500 under moderate liquid flashing conditions (  liquid at saturation point) and low pressure drop ( 10-15 psi). V300 is desired selection owing to wide range ability.

    Hi Amehta:
Thanks for the details.Since there is no major erosive particles in process fluid you have multiple choices in Fisher product lines for this Flashing service. The best solution would be Globe valve with Flow down construction. However if your process demands more wider rangeability then you can go ahead with V-ball for this 15 psid drop flashing, but make sure you select metal seal (Preferably Alloy6) and hardfaced V-notch area to reduce flashing damage.Hope it helps.

    Thanks
